O Say Can You See Sign
AVAM
Jim Rouse Visionary Center, Exterior
The neon "O Say You Can See" sign adorns our Jim Rouse Visionary Center (JRVC). The phrase refers to the first line of the U.S. national anthem and to our neighbor, Fort McHenry, where Francis Scott Key wrote the now famous words. The JRVC sits adjacent to our Dame Anita Roddick Tall Sculpture Barn, which has its own neon lettering: LOVE. Together, the signs read "O Say Can You See...Love," to allude that the best things in life aren't visible at all.
