About the Exhibition
"This exhibition was S.T.E.A.M. on steroids, conceived as a union of playfulness, intuition, imagination, and desire – partners common to creative invention of all sort. Harnessing the creative expressions of over 100 visionary artists, scientists, inventors, and philosophers who took a fresh look at the very notion of sound, color, number, scale, and meaning in their personal pursuit of wonder, included were works from fractal quilts to those that extolled the role Sci-Fi plays in inspiring new science. This show began with looking at the roots of the world’s very first museums and how AVAM harkens back to those early 'Cabinets of Wonder,' and resulted in a wedding celebration feast deliciously fit for adults and children of all ages." - Founder, Director, and Chief Curator, Rebecca Hoffberger
